Museum visit - GUM

Forget what you expect from a science museum. At GUM, you discover how scientists think and work. What challenges do they face? Is there room for imagination, doubt and failure? How does science shape the way we think and live? And which remarkable objects help tell this story?
Discover GUM in the heart of the Ghent Botanical Garden, just around the corner from S.M.A.K. and MSK Ghent.

At the GUM, you pick the brain of scientists.

At the new science museum, visitors can discover a highly valuable and exceptional collection covering various disciplines, ranging from Biology to Archaeology, and from Psychology to Medicine. The collection is where the history of science and contemporary research meet, while simultaneously offering a glimpse into the future.

Visiting the museum with kids? Explore GUM with one of our free Family Games!
