Museum Shop

Plenty of souvenirs and gift ideas
As soon as you enter the GUM via the Botanical Garden, you will see the Museum Shop on your left. Still looking for that great gift? A nice idea? Something exciting and original? A practical item? Or a brilliant book? Want to take a little piece of the GUM home with you? Feel free to visit us! You might find exactly what you're looking for.

In the Museum Shop, you’ll find a surprising range of ‘Art & Science’ souvenirs. Perfectly in line with our ‘Forum for Science, Doubt & Art’.

The range is extensive: from posters and postcards, to books for all ages, fun board games and jigsaw puzzles, small gadgets such as magnets and stickers, GUM socks, and stationery including coffee mugs, notebooks, writing materials and pencil cases. You’ll also find a selection of products from the Ghent University shop, such as jumpers and tote bags.

Furthermore, you can buy genuine works of art, such as ceramics by Lana Schneider or a reproduction by Berlinde de Bruyckere or Piet Van. There’s something for everyone!

The shop is always open during the museum’s opening hours, you can just walk in without even needing a museumticket.

New in the shop: MUSAE

MUSAE is a series of handmade ceramic artist editions by artist Lana Schneider (PlayField collective), resident artist at GUM & Plantentuin. The works combine ceramics with botanical motifs and scientific notations, making time, observation and memory tangible. Each piece invites you not only to look at it, but also to use it, thereby becoming part of a personal story.

Buy art and support the GUM Fund

Artists Berlinde De Bruyckere and Piet Van have both donated works to GUM & Botanical Garden. These are currently on display in the museum shop. Visitors have the unique opportunity to purchase a work and thereby support GUM & Botanical Garden in its continued development as a Forum for Science, Doubt & Art, with a particular focus on collection care, participation and creation.
