ZONDERWERK

'Babel,' the debut album by ZONDERWERK (Dijf Sanders + Linde Carrijn), is here! Although 'Babel' was originally created for architect-artist Steve Salembier's theater play of the same name, the record also stands on its own. Using bells and metal as basic materials, Carrijn and Sanders build soundscapes that are both seductive and unsettling.

Thanks in part to a homemade metal instrument with piano strings, reel-to-reel tape recorders, field recordings and violin, "Babel" perfectly captures the atmosphere of the concrete jungle - at once inhospitable and awe-inspiring.

OPYA

'Opya' is a sonic performance project by artists Pauline Mikó and Job Worms. By performing live in symbiosis with plants, the duo aims to strengthen the relationship between nature and man.

Through sensors and electrodes connected to roots of living plants and to Mikó's body, bioelectric exchange is converted into sound via synthesizers. Those sound waves are then modulated into electronic music. An experimental green sound bath is the result.

Worms' slow beats accompany the singing plants and Mikó's voice. A dialogue between plants, technology and the body!
